Day 1 – Bushmen experience:

The safari begins in Maun where our professional licensed guide meets us. We start early in the morning towards Central Kalahari Game Reserve in specially equipped 4x4 safari vehicles. After a 4-5 hours drive we set up our camp just outside the Kalahari Game Reserve. In the afternoon we will participate in a nature walk led by local San trackers, who will share their unique bush knowledge and allow us an insight into their fascinating culture. In the evening we enjoy a Bushmen dinner with music and dancing.

Days 2-5 – Central Kalahari Game Reserve:

We will spend 4 adventurous days exploring the vast open of Botswana 's largest national park. Our camp will be set up deep insight the reserve where water resources are limited and we are far from any civilization. The dry plains of the desert have a lot more to offer then first meets the eye. The undeveloped wilderness is home to fascinating wildlife like Springbuck, Oryx, honey badgers, wild dogs and many more. Especially in the late afternoons and early mornings we might see lion, leopard or cheetah. The evenings in the camp are spent by candlelight under the endless clear night sky.

Day 6 – transfer to Crocodile Camp:

After an early breakfast we take down our tents to get a head start towards Maun. The first part of the trip is done at game viewing speed. At Crocodile Camp we settle into the comfortable chalets. The afternoon can be spent at leisure, relaxing at the Bar or the Swimming Pool. Optional shopping trips into town or other activities like horseback riding can be arranged on own expense.

Days 7-9 – Okavango Delta:

A scenic flight takes us from Maun airport straight to Ntswe Island , deep in the Okavango Delta. After arrival we are greeted by the friendly team of Gunn's Bush Camp and settle into the 2-men-dome tents set on their own platform overlooking one of the Okavango channels. The camp offers Mokoro-Trips (traditionally dug out canoes) and game walks. The second and third night are spent camping on our “own island” deep in the untouched wilderness of the delta, accompanied by skilled poler guides. For two days we experience nature in it's purest form, gliding along the Okavango channels in a mokoro or exploring the little islands by foot. Possible wildlife sightings may include: Hippo, Crocodile, Elephant, Buffalo , Zebra, Giraffe, Lion and a variety of Bucks.

Day 10 – Return to Crocodile Camp:

Early in the morning we take down our tents and enjoy a last Mokoro-Trip back to the Camp. From there we connect to Maun airport with another scenic flight and drive back to Crocodile Camp. The first national park on the way is Moremi Game Reserve, which covers swamp areas as well as dry land and is inhabited by a huge diversity of wildlife. Especially bird lovers will get their full share during the stay in the reserve. We will go on game drives early in the morning and in the afternoon. During the midday heat we relax at the campsite. We set up camp for the first night in the Savuti area. Huge elephant bulls that compete for the scarce water resources are found in the dry region as well as the famous Savuti lion prides. From Savuti we continue towards the Chobe River , where we set up camp for the second night. This fascinating landscape is known to have the densest Elephant population in the world (app 40.000).
